CHALLENGE: Global gold mining company was experiencing inconsistent results across its multiple locations, and particularly much less efficiency in many of its African operations. Inefficiencies were impacting mine operations output and staff costs.

SERVICES/SOLUTION: As a member of a small team, organized a 1 week workshop in Johannesburg for representatives from all world-wide sites to lead them in developing methods for implementing Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques, best practices identification and dissemination, and tools for financial and accounting consistency across the globe.

RESULTS: Projects are still being rolled out, with results varying by location.
