CHALLENGE: 10 year old B2B Software Company never reached profitability during its first 10 years in business. Venture backed, this organization was heavily invested in, yet failed to manage its way to profitability. With no more interest in making further investments the company was faced with a questionable future. New ownership took over.

SOLUTION: SOA was brought in by the new ownership to manage the business to profitability. All organizational expenses and projected revenue were carefully analyzed. Based on this analysis, expense controls were immediately put in place; new revenue streams were identified; resources were re-aligned to match profit sources and revenue objectives were put in place. New product plans were put in place and added emphasis was placed on services while core enterprise software development was re-engineered.

RESULT/S: Profitability was achieved in 3 quarters and continued for 30+ consecutive quarters on SOA’s watch. Two complimentary services businesses were acquired. New revenue streams were established including emphasis on BI and Supply Chain Solutions and custom development services. New technology web-based ERP software solution was released setting the stage for continued business growth for many years to come. Established Microsoft Gold Partnership level. New sales channels were added to include partners and direct.
